Mohammed VI Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art (Corner of Avenue Moulay El Hassan and Allal Ben Abdallah Avenue, Quartier Hassan 10000, Rabat) – opened in October 2014, this was the first museum of modern art that was launched in Morocco since its independence from France. The three-level 22,350 sq. m building consists of 4,921 sq. meters for a permanent collection and 2,558 sq. meters for temporary exhibits, conservation laboratories, an auditorium, education center, a multimedia library and a café. The Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) aims to cover the evolution of Moroccan artistic creation in the visual arts, from the early twentieth century to current days. Admission: 40 Dhm (adult), 20 Dhm (students ages 12-18), 10 Dhm (children under 12 years). Hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (daily, closed on Tuesdays). More info at: https://www.museemohammed6.ma/
