TRAM – Casablanca’s tram system (Tramway de Casablanca) is the best means of public transportation in this city (especially for first-time visitors). First launched in 2012, it currently has two lines (1 from Sidi Moumen to Lissasfa, and ط2 from Sidi Bernoussi to Ain Diab—which intersect at 2 points and form a 47 km network with 71 stations).

The base fare is 6 Dhm. per ride, with commuters having the option of buying a weekly ticket at 60 Dhm. or a monthly one for 230 Dhm. International travelers have already given the Casablanca Tramway high marks for being inexpensive, clean and efficient, not to mention modern (in a country whose past is omnipresent). Further info (including a system map) can be seen on the Tramway de Casablanca website: www.casatramway.ma
